The partnership was formed through the signing of a Memorandum of Agreement recently at the Quezon City Hall. Under the agreement, Shell will install road safety signs along Commonwealth Avenue to signify that the area is a traffic discipline zone. The road safety signs also provide safety reminders such as observing speed limits and wearing of safety belts.

Shown during the MOA signing ceremony are Roberto Kanapi, Pilipinas Shell Petroleum Corporation Vice President for Communications (2nd from left) and Quezon City Vice Mayor Joy Belmonte (3rd from left). With them are (L-R) MMDA Assistant General Manager for Operations Atty. Emerson Carlos AKO-Bicol Party List Representative Rodel Batocabe and Quezon City 2nd District Representative Winnie Castelo. They are flanked by Quezon City Councilors who witnessed the signing of the agreement.
