The move comes in the wake of the impact of heavy rains and severe flooding brought on by the monsoon rains which hit a large part of Luzon. The price freeze will be in effect only in selected areas which include the following areas and provinces:

  • National Capital Region
  • Bulacan Province
  • Rizal Province
  • Pampanga Province
  • Bataan Province
  • Zambales Province
  • Sta. Cruz, Laguna
  • Pagsanjan, Laguna
  • Bacoor, Cavite
  • Kawit, Cavite
  • Rosario, Cavite

“The move will, hopefully, help alleviate the current predicament many of our countrymen find themselves in where they have to manage the impact of the floods and rains,” said Roberto Kanapi, Pilipinas Shell Vice-President for Communications and Government Relations.

At the same time, Pilipinas Shell announced it is focusing its efforts to provide the public with a reliable and steady supply of fuel products in a safe and efficient manner.
Additionally, Mr Kanapi also announced that, “We are now working closely with various private donor and relief organizations in providing material assistance to communities severely affected by the monsoon rains and flooding as part of our own organization’s and employees’ efforts to help those in need.”
