This privacy policy covers our use of your personal information which is collected through or in connection with this site: www.shellecomarathon.ph

Special Notice - if you are under 18 years old

Our website is not aimed at minors under 18 years old and we will not collect, use, provide or process in any other form any personal information of minors under the age of 18 deliberately. We therefore also ask you, if you are under 18 years old, please do not send us your personal information (for example, your name, address and email address).

Information collection and use

We collect and use personal information (name and email address) in order to notify you about Shell Eco-marathon. We will also collect and use personal information (your name, email address, your country of origin and number of tickets required) to register you for the Shell Eco-marathon. Your personal information may also be used or processed by Shell International B.V. or its affiliates for marketing purposes (subject to any objections received and/or consents obtained, for which see below).

As part of the services offered to you through our site, the information you provide to us may be transferred to countries outside of the European Economic Area ("EEA"). By way of example, this may happen if any of our servers are from time to time located in a country outside of the EEA or one of our service providers is located in a country outside of the EEA. These countries may not have similar data protection laws to the EEA.

If we transfer your information outside of the EEA in this way, we will take steps to ensure that your privacy rights continue to be protected. In addition, if you use our services while you are outside the EEA, your information may be transferred outside the EEA in order to provide you with those services.

Except as set out in this privacy policy, we will not disclose any personally identifiable information without your permission unless we are legally entitled or required to do so (for example, if required to do so by legal process or for the purposes of prevention of fraud or other crime) or if we believe that such action is necessary to protect and/or defend our rights, property or personal safety and those of our users/customers etc.

Shell International B.V or its affiliates may wish to use the information supplied for in the registration to send information about goods and/or services offered by Shell International B.V. or its affiliates which may be of interest to you.

Such persons will be given the opportunity to indicate their consent to such contact by ticking a box on the registration form. Any person that wishes to withdraw such consent may do so by using the "unsubscribe" facility on any marketing mail.

Additionally, if at any time you wish us to stop using your information for any or all of the below purposes as mentioned in this privacy policy, please let us now via ShellEcomarathonAsia2016@shell.com. We will stop the use of your information for such purposes as soon as it is reasonably possible to do so. In such case the use of your personal data will be limited to the purpose of your registration only.

Collection of non-personal information

We may automatically collect non-personal information about you such as the type of internet browsers you use or the web site from which you linked to our site. We may also aggregate details which you have submitted to the site (for example, your age and the town where you live). You cannot be identified from this information and it is only used to assist us in providing an effective service on this web site. Photography and filming on-site

Photography and filming will take place throughout Shell Eco-marathon Asia. A selection of photos and videos may be used for further communication purposes, including, but not limited to, use on websites and social media channels.

Control on the number of visitors

In the interest of Public Order and Safety, the Organisers of Shell Eco-marathon Asia 2016 reserve the right to regulate and control the number of people inside secluded area or those sheltered by roofs or tents to a level where people’s comfort, safety and security may be preserved and maintained throughout the duration of the event. Thus Shell may prevent people, even those with confirmed tickets, from entering said areas once the crowd inside reaches a critical level where their comfort, safety and security may be already compromised.
