Royal Dutch Shell supports relief efforts for typhoon Sendong victims
Royal Dutch Shell plc said today that it is donating US$1 million, in response to the catastrophic typhoon Sendong (international name typhoon Washi). The deadliest cyclone to hit the Philippines in the last 12 years, typhoon Sendong left over a thousand people dead in the provinces of northern Mindanao and billions worth of infrastructure and agriculture in ravages.

Through Shell Corporate Assistance for Relief and Emergency Services, (Shell C.A.R.E.S.), Shell companies in the Philippines’ disaster assistance program, the company launched a corporate-wide donation drive to assist families in Cagayan de Oro and Iligan affected by Typhoon Sendong.
