Pandacan Depots Services, Inc. receives Safety Award

PDSI was awarded last November 5, 2009 after achieving 5,135,032 Safe hours without Lost Time Accidents from March 9, 2005 to May 30, 2009.

The company, celebrating its 5th year founding anniversary this month, has achieved 6,022,199 safe hours with no lost time accident as of October 31, 2009.

“PDSI shares its achievements with all its employees, contractors and clients from Chevron Philippines Inc., Petron Corporation and Pilipinas Shell Petroleum Corporation,” PDSI General Manager Eric Lizardo said.

SMILE honours companies and individuals who have achieved or contributed to safety milestone of no lost time accidents and who are compliant to general labour standards and OSH standards.

Two PDSI OSH practitioners were also given recognition during the event for their significant contribution and active involvement in the implementation of OSH programmes and activities.

“The recognition shows PDSI’s commitment in ensuring safety of all employees and contractors not only in the workplace but even at home. The award inspires us to achieve our goal ‘Towards zero incidents,” Lizardo said.

PDSI and other companies also signed the Renewal of ‘Commitment for Workplace Safety and Health’ as a demonstration of its commitment and priority given to safety and health at the workplace.
