The corporate donation, which included various contributions from Shell staff, reached over 1 million pesos, for the Philippine Red Cross Japan Relief and Rehabilitation Efforts.

Ambassador of Japan to the Philippines Makoto Katsura witnessed the cheque handover by Shell Country Chairman Edgar Chua to the Philippine Red Cross (PRC). Secretary General Gwendolyn Pang and Fund Generation Director Lucia Beltran represented PRC during the simple handover ceremony at the Embassy of Japan.

Shell’s donations to the Philippine Red Cross will be pooled together with various donations to the institution to aid in the Japan relief and rehabilitation efforts. According to the Philippine Red Cross, the joint donations to assist Japan from various individuals and groups constitute the biggest overseas assistance they have ever made in the Philippines to date.
