Shell Marine Products has appointed Gensan Shipyard & Machine Works Inc. as its new distributor in Mindanao to cover its marine lubricants business operations in the region.

Gensan Shipyard is an affiliate of the RD Group of Companies, with a network of 50 companies in the Philippines and abroad. With the agreement, Shell will service majority of the lube and oil requirements of RD Fishing Industry Inc., one of the biggest fishing operators in the country and in Papua New Guinea.

Gensan Shipyard enjoys strategic location to undertake dry docking, repair, and construction needs of all fishing and service delivery boats of both domestic and international companies operating in the Pacific Ocean. With the addition of Shell Marine Products in its portfolio, Gensan Shipyard will be a “one-stop shop” for marine industry services in the region.

Globally, Shell Marine Products supply more than 10,000 vessels ranging from large ocean tankers to small fishing boats, providing clean and efficient transport through its efficient concept lubricants. Shell also offers smarter marine oil products designed to simplify on-board inventories, as well as some specialist products together with a range of technical services. With a global supply chain of more than 30 lubricant blending plants and a network encompassing 510 ports in more than 40 countries around the world, Shell Marine Products can be relied on to provide security of supply when and where it is needed.
