Shell Recharge partners with sustainable real estate leader NEO for 100% Renewable EV charging at Seven/NEO BGC, Taguig

Good news for EV drivers—charging at Seven/NEO BGC is currently free of charge. This is also the latest addition to the Shell Recharge network which now has ultra-rapid charging stations in Shell SLEX Mamplasan & at the recently opened Shell TPLEX exit Rosario La Union.

The Shell Recharge charging station has two AC22kW charging points capable of charging 2 vehicles simultaneously with up to 22kWh per charging point. True to the purpose of sustainable decarbonization, the EV charging location is 100% renewable as it is powered with geothermal energy. This is Shell’s first 100% geothermal powered charger globally.

At the opening event- the first Electric Vehicles to charge were Shell’s very own fleet of electric service vehicles used to service Shell staff from Shell Business Operations Manila.

At the event- Shell Vice President for Mobility Randy Del Valle shared that “Shell is already a global leader in the EV space and we are happy to work with our customers and partners across private and public sectors as we decarbonize Mobility and power progress in the Philippines. NEO is a leader in sustainable real estate and shares Shell’s vision of a lower carbon future”.

NEO is the country’s first net zero portfolio of buildings certified with the Philippine Green Building Council’s (PhilGBC) Advancing Net Zero Philippines and the International Finance Corporation’s EDGE Zero Carbon.
