Asia-Pacific Stevies’ award-winning motorcycle lanes put bikers first at Shell stations
Sep 15, 2021
As Filipinos use more personal and agile forms of transport like motorcycles for work and travel during the pandemic, Pilipinas Shell Petroleum Corporation (Shell) reinforces its commitment to customer service and safety on the road by adding more dedicated Shell Motorcycle Lanes in Shell stations nationwide.
“At Shell, we ensure that everyone on the move will have the best experience when they visit Shell stations. The specialized Shell Motorcycle Lanes will address the mobility needs of the growing Filipino motorcycle community by being more inclusive in their services and offers. Bikers will no longer be sidelined by bigger vehicles at fuel lanes, which has been happening for years. Our motorcycle lanes have changed all that,” Randy Del Valle, Pilipinas Shell Vice President for Retail and General Manager for Mobility, said.
With all these improvements to provide first-class service to a significant sector of the Philippine mobile market, Shell’s biker lanes were recognized in this year’s Asia-Pacific Stevie® Awards for Outstanding Innovation on Customer Service. The Stevie® Awards is the world's premier business awards, with the Asia-Pacific (APAC) Stevies zeroing in on the achievements and positive contributions from 29 APAC nations.
Last year, Shell pioneered the first fuel lanes dedicated to motorcycles in the country to improve customer experience and ensure the safety of bikers while they gas up. From five pilot motorcycle lanes in 2020, Shell aims to put motorcycle-dedicated lanes in 100 stations this year to make services more accessible and available to more Filipinos.
At Shell Motorcycle Lanes, bikers are safer because of wheel-stoppers that prevent larger vehicles from using the lanes, aside from the prominent entry signages and floor decals. Customized dress-ups for motorcycle users allow bikers to efficiently gas up. Shell Motorcycle Lanes also offer exclusive services like free helmet and motorcycle seat cleaning.
Bikers are also assured of getting maximum engine performance for smoother rides with the use of Shell Advance motorcycle oil and Shell V-Power fuel as the most preferred fuel by motorists and Shell’s Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) partners – Suzuki Motorcycles Philippines, TVS, Access Plus, and the Autohub Group, which distributes Vespa, Triumph, and Piaggio that support the same vision of improving biker experience at Shell stations.
Shell V-Power Brand Manager Jerome David said the Shell V-Power fuel works with any of the Shell Advance motorcycle oils to provide enhanced protection, improved acceleration, and prolonged engine life, resulting in an overall smoother ride. “Shell V-Power is specially formulated with DYNAFLEX Technology which helps improve engine condition and maximizes energy from the fuel, making it the best performance fuel for motorcycles to date,” David added.
Shell Advance has Shell Active Cleansing Technology that prevents particle build-up to allow engines to have more power and control even under stressful conditions. Bikers can choose from different Shell Advance Lubricants to match their riding styles: Fuel Save, Long Ride, and Power, for the best performance and acceleration; trouble-free engines for the long haul; or great fuel mileage and economical riding to make each journey the best ride, no matter what you do.
Shell is providing even more bigger benefits and better value whenever bikers gas up at Shell. The latest Shell promo Ride and Redeem offers bikers the chance to get exclusive arm sleeves covers to help protect them during their rides by fueling up with Shell V-Power and purchasing Shell Advance.
