Shell Energy Philippines, Inc. and Greenlight Renewables Seal Long-Term Power Supply Agreement for a 120MWp Ground-Mounted Solar Farm in Leyte
Manila, Philippines - Shell Energy Philippines, Inc. (SEPH) has signed a Power Supply Agreement (PSA) with Greenlight Renewables Holdings, Inc. (Greenlight) through Greenlight’s wholly-owned subsidiary San Isidro Solar Power Corp., for the purchase of electricity from a ground-mounted solar farm located in Leyte. This agreement marks a significant milestone for the joint venture between Emerging Power Inc. (EPI) and Shell Overseas Investments B.V. (SOIBV), as it is the first PSA signed since its establishment.
Under the 15-year agreement, SEPH will purchase 120 megawatts peak (MWp) of electricity from Phase 1 of the San Isidro Solar Power Project. Commercial operations for Phase 1 is targeted to begin in the second quarter of 2026. The project is expected to significantly contribute to the renewable energy capacity in the Visayas and advance the Philippines’ broader decarbonization efforts.
This project is also a milestone for Shell companies in the Philippines as it celebrates its 111 years of Powering Progress in the country and marks the 5th year anniversary of SEPH in the Philippines.

Greenlight is a joint venture between EPI and SOIBV focused on developing, owning, and operating large-scale renewable energy projects in the Philippines. It has completed the 120 MWp Phase 1 of the San Isidro Solar Power Project, which is now undergoing testing and commissioning and is already supplying energy to the grid. EPI serves as the clean energy arm of Nickel Asia Corporation.
SEPH, the registered retail electricity supplier of the Shell companies in the Philippines, intends to sell the solar-generated electricity to its commercial and industrial customers. This agreement strengthens SEPH’s clean energy portfolio and aligns with its ambition to grow its market share within the next five years, reinforcing its commitment to providing reliable and sustainable energy supply.
