Shell LiveWIRE is the flagship enterprise development programme of Shell, with the vision to strengthen local economies by promoting entrepreneurship, innovation and meaningful employment. Shell LiveWIRE started 42 years ago. In 1982, one in eight people were out of work in the UK. Shell responded by launching Shell LiveWIRE in Scotland with the aim of addressing growing levels of youth unemployment through entrepreneurship. Today Shell LiveWIRE supporting businesses that are on the cutting-edge of innovation, focusing on energy solutions, value chain integration and economic diversification.

All participants get the opportunity to be integrated into the Shell Value Chain.
Funding
Tech startups get the chance to win up to P1,000,000 equity-free cash for the first place and P500,000 equity-free cash for the second place and third place to help grow their startups while Community Enterprises will receive in-kind or grant money support.
Who Can Join?
Shell LiveWIRE is dedicated to supporting innovation and entrepreneurs in the Philippines. We are looking for founders who fit the following criteria: The startups should have a working Minimum Viable Product (MVP) at the application date of the competition There should be at least one (1) full time Filipino founder Majority ownership of the company should be Filipino Total external funding previously received by the startup should not be more than 100,000 USD.

Shell LiveWIRE Acceleration Program
Shell LiveWIRE is the global flagship enterprise development program of Shell. Its mission is to support local communities by funding their businesses and growing them with the goal of eventually housing them within the Shell business ecosystem. Shell LiveWIRE was launched in the Philippines this year.
Among the different companies who applied for the program, 6 local enterprises (3 tech startups and 3 social enterprises) were selected for the Shell LiveWIRE Acceleration program, while 3 community enterprises will be given additional training and mentorship.
Acceleration program
Under this program, the companies get access to mentorship, financial support for their team and product development, and at the same time potentially win funding for their company and work in partnership with Shell Philippines.

A company that developed a device that helps measure air quality so users can find ways to improve it and be alert for possible health risks or threats.
Nanotronics
Produces a bio-based nanomaterial called cellulose nanocrystals made from indigenous plants to help reduce plastic waste in a sustainable way.

A simple and affordable digital banking platform that helps small business owners collect, send, and manage their money.
