Mnemonic Sound of Shell

Shell is the only company in the Philippines with local bitumen production capabilities. The supply reliability that its brand-new P730 million Batangas facility assures is key to connecting millions of Filipinos across the country. Because bitumen is a necessary component for the asphalting of roads, highways, and airports.

And the Batangas facility’s capacity goes over and beyond the Philippines’ needs. At the end of 2018, it made its first export of bitumen to Vietnam.

The entirety of Shell’s worldwide bitumen solutions serves over 1,600 customers across 28 countries. This includes Formula One tracks, and other specialty applications. But Shell bitumen’s greatest contribution is still its core service – resurfacing 450km of road every day.
