    Royal Dutch Shell plc (the “Shell Group”) announced today that it is donating US$2.5 million, in response to the catastrophic typhoon Haiyan that struck the Philippines. Typhoon Haiyan has caused massive destruction in the central Philippines.

  • 20/11/2013 Making a big difference to a town’s road safety

    Subic town is the site where Malampaya Phase 3 (MP3) Project’s Depletion Compression Platform is being fabricated. The MP3 Project, through the Malampaya Foundation, Inc. (MFI) launched a social performance program to promote road safety in Subic town called Project KALSADA or ‘Kaligtasan sa Daan’ (Safety on the Road) to help address the problem of rampant road accidents which is the fourth leading cause of death in the Philippines according to the Philippine Department of Health. Particularly in Subic, there were over a hundred road accidents recorded in the area that involved the tricycle.

    Gas technology leader and sustainable mobility proponent Shell is among seven companies in the Philippines that received highest ratings in ethical business practices. The recognition was given by the Makati Business Club (MBC) in cooperation with the European Chamber of Commerce of the Philippines (ECCP), which established the Integrity Initiative—a private sector-led campaign that aims to strengthen ethical standards in society. It aspires for a level playing field for business, where ethical companies enjoy competitive advantage in both government and private sector transactions.
