Shell garners Anvil Awards

The annual awards is sought after in the industry for recognizing excellence in marketing and communications. Shell’s flagship programs and projects cited in the awarding ceremonies were Shell–Gawad Kalinga: Building sustainable communities for more than a decade; Shell North Mindanao Import Facility: A game-changer for energy security in Visayas and Mindanao; The 49th Shell National Students Art Competition: Discover, Transform, Fly; Shell Be Well Program: Reinforcing wellness and productivity among its workforce; Project KALSADA: road safety for children; the Shell Eco-marathon Asia 2016: Driving smarter mobility to address the energy challenge; Tubbataha Reefs Natural Park: A triumph for the environment; and Revitalizing Shell’s Internal Communications Function: from newsworthy to use-worthy.

For Malampaya Foundation, three projects were also recognized: Bridging Employment through Skills Training (BEST) Programme – Gold; Curriculum Guide on Integrating Ecological Solid Waste Management (ESWM) for Elementary Schools in Batangas City – Gold; and Malampaya Marine Biodiversity Conservation Programmes (BAHURA, LAMBAT and VIP) – Silver.

Two of Shell Philippines Exploration’s programs were also cited: Automated Weather Station (AWS) Installation Project – Gold; and The Boy Who Could Talk with Bees (Shell PPT 2016 Children's Book) – Gold. Finally, also winning Silver awards were Mindoro Biodiversity Conservation Foundation’s Ilin and Ambulong Islands Forest Conservation Project, and Pilipinas Shell Foundation’s Tubbataha Youth Ambassador (TYA) Programme and Philippine Business Sector Response to HIV and AIDS.
