Shell and SM Advantage Renew Partnership

Pilipinas Shell and Marketing Convergence, Inc. renew their partnership through the SM Advantage Card. Customers can continue getting points with a minimum purchase of Shell products and discounts on Shell Helix Oilchange+ services.

Loyal Shell customers can continue earning points and enjoying rewards offered by the SM Advantage Card (SMAC) as Pilipinas Shell and Marketing Convergence, Inc. (MCI), the issuer of the SMAC, recently renewed their long-standing partnership.
Shell, the global leader in power, energy, and fuels technology, and SM Advantage, an SM Retail Group affiliate, held the contract signing to reaffirm their continued collaboration on the SMAC rewards program at Top of Citi in Makati.
Present during the signing ceremony were Pilipinas Shell Petroleum Corporation executives led by Cesar Romero, President and Chief Executive Officer, and Anthony Lawrence Yam, Vice President for Retail. MCI President Baldwin Golangco and Assistant Vice President Iya Quintana were also in attendance.
Both parties expressed satisfaction and gratitude for their partnership which started in 2013 when Pilipinas Shell first became a partner of SM Advantage.
“We have always been very happy to be associated with SM’s official customer loyalty program. Shell has been pushing to make our customers’ journey better. Therefore we are glad to be able to continue rewarding them with every transaction they make and help them redeem items for their needs,” Romero stressed.
The Partnership between SM Advantage and Shell has always proven to be a viable undertaking. Since the start of the partnership, SMAC’s member base grew by double digits and transactions made at Shell increased.
“Partnering with the number one fuel brand in the country has made our rewards and loyalty program more exciting with more members now gassing up at their stations,” said Golangco. “As Shell expands its network of participating stations, we’re glad that they are able to cater to more SMAC members.”
At present, there are over 700 participating Shell gas stations nationwide. SMAC members earn one point for every P250 spend on any Shell fuels, lubricants, or items from Shell Select or deli2go. Points can be redeemed at any of the SM stores or affiliates--The SM Store, SM Supermarket, Uniqlo, Forever 21, Ace Hardware, Watsons, Toy Kingdom, to name a few. They can also avail of a 40% discount on labor at Shell Helix Oil Change+ centers.
